ACE-031 is a soluble activin receptor type IIB (ActRIIB) fused to an IgG1-Fc domain. It functions as a ligand trap, binding and sequestering myostatin, activin, GDF-11, and other TGF-β superfamily ligands that normally inhibit muscle growth. This mechanism makes it a tool for studying myostatin signaling and muscle hypertrophy pathways.
